Posted - April 23 2006 : 1:45:57 PM Hi guys,
I recently have been doing an essay regarding the compair and contrast between Nathaniel and Duncan. The only thing I need is a really good title about my topic. So far I got "Differences Between Nathaniel and Duncan", but I don't think that'll catch the readers attention. So I was wondering if you guys could give me other ideas or suggestion on what other titles I should put on my essay. Thanks a lot! |

Posted - April 23 2006 : 9:50:41 PM Oh you people are entirely too harsh on Duncan. Give him a break, he redeemed himself, didn't he?! For all the recent Duncan-bashing on this board lately, I'll pay you back! Wait until you see the Gathering Program Guide; I'll make sure the good major's image is plastered all over the place! So there! Stephanie |

Posted - April 23 2006 : 9:15:25 PM Hey Lurking Huron2486,
I really like richfed's and Wilderness Woman's suggestions. Excellent job guys!
I also like the sound of Linen Randy vs London Dandy, Lurking Huron8003, although Hawkeye didn't wear linen... Loinclothed Randy maybe ??? That'd get the readers' attention! and Backwoods vs Back Tied to Wood?... clever!
Anyways, here are some I came up with:
Duncan, Loyal British Subject; Nathaniel, Not Subject to Much at All
Duncan and Nathaniel: British Authority Encounters Pioneer Spirit
Nathaniel, Trailblazer; Duncan, Merely Ablaze
Duncan and Nathaniel: British Perceptions Confront Frontier Realities
Duncan and Nathaniel - Cora Chose, Now Can You?
Hope you find one that suits. Be sure and let us know your final decision ok? |

Posted - April 23 2006 : 7:04:33 PM Well, it is a bit of a stretch, but I think this person is referring to the fact that Duncan got burned, or "fried"... although I think "roasted" would be the more correct cooking term... at the stake.
I like Rich's idea.
Or how about "Clearing It Up: Who's The Better Man?"
Or "Duncan and Nathaniel -- A Serious Disagreement."
Or "Duncan and Nathaniel -- Sedition or Courage?"

One thing that I don't understand, though. What does David Copperfried have to do with the movie, The Last of the Mohicans? |

Linen Randy vs London Dandy? Tale of Two Loincloths? For Whom the Fire Burns? For Whom the Post Calls? Backwoods vs Back Tied to Wood? The Long and Short of It? Red Hair is Unlucky? David Copperfried?
I could go on, but probably ya'll have groaned enough.
