Posted - October 01 2005 : 10:02:09 PM We watched the movie Last of the Mohicans in our History class. We were then given a take home test with the following question:
How did the British regard the settlers in regards to the war, and by the end of the movie how were the settlers viewing their relationship with the British?
If any one has an answer please let me know.ASAP
Thanks! |

Posted - October 05 2005 : 12:07:13 PM FW - that thought occured to me too. The book & movie certainly aren't carbon copies of each other. Sounds like the teacher might recommend writing a "book report" - after the class all actually "read the book". Sounds like the easy way out for all concerned. Hope surgeons & airline pilots don't don't use this approach! |

Posted - October 05 2005 : 10:05:01 AM its a good question, and the movie handles it well... ticonderoga has a war college each may, and one of the speakers also covered how the event 'massacre valley' was based on led to the defeat of france here... |

Posted - October 04 2005 : 10:43:39 PM But you know, if someone really was interested in learning a bit about the F&I period, it might be better to read a book like Crucible of War by Fred Anderson, rather than to watch a Hollywierd movie. That goes for Lurking Huron8429's teacher as well. |

Good luck to you! |

Posted - October 03 2005 : 10:30:10 AM Yes, all you need to do is to read our responses to previous requests for homework assistance to learn that we do not hand out answers to students.
We do, however, gladly... and probably ad nauseum... discuss these issues with the person who is asking. But only after they offer their own opinions!

Posted - October 02 2005 : 8:35:59 PM Monadnock Guide is right, it won't do you any good if we do your homework for you. However, if you want to post what you think the answer is, we can help you with it. |

Posted - October 02 2005 : 07:00:38 AM Now you know, - you should do your own homework. Tell us, - what do you think the answers are? After all, - you saw the movie just like everyone else. I'm sure you can do it, ... ;) |
