Posted - April 26 2005 : 01:04:17 AM In the Last of the Mohicans book, one of the characters is a singer "David". He is a colorful and interesting fellow, though not essential to the plot (in my opinion).
I don't think that he appears in the 1992 LOTM movie at all. My request is that other Mohicanites weigh in with their opinions on this subject.
I must give credit where credit is due. My activity regarding this subject increased when one of our newer members, Rainhair, identified a possible David sighting in a discussion of this subject on her homepage (please see her profile for link). She points out a choir singing for Montcalm in his camp. (I had forgotten that detail, so thank you Rainhair for pointing it out.) My thought is that the Huron? children singing for Montcalm are directed by a French priest, not the singer David. |

Posted - April 27 2005 : 3:45:40 PM Yeah, I noticed that too. Personally, I thought the movie was better than the book and I don't say that too often. I love the book as it is but just feel the movie is unbeatable. |
