Does anyone have a copy of the 1971 Last of the Mohicans with Kenneth Ives? The series was hired on Masterpiece theater in the 70's. |

Posted - December 09 2004 : 12:43:34 AM Wow, that brings me back. I barely recall that version of LOTM as a little boy when Mom made us watch Masterpiece Theatre every Sunday at 9PM. That was a heck of a season which also included "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" and "Elizabeth R"
I only recall one scene from it, a scene from Fort William Henry, that even to a six year old was "fake looking." I did not know about shooting outdoor scenes on soundstages then.
You may want to check out PBS's home site. They have a listing of every single show that ever appeared on public broadcasting. I seem to recall links to "Masterpiece" shows on VHS and DVD, as "Upstairs Downstairs" is rather popular.
Good Luck, I would not mind seeing that one again as well. |
