I just finished watching the movie "Big Eden" which I ordered off Ebay a few days ago. It's not as great as LOTM of course, but I loved the movie! It got me teary eyed a couple times, and it is just a great story about love and finding yourself! Not to mention, Eric Schweig did a GREAT job portraying his character, Pike Dexter. His character was shy and he was SO ADORABLE! Believe me, this is a movie worth watching, it was great! I just felt that it was my duty to share an awesome movie with all my friends at Mohicanland!!  Please, check this movie out! If you have seen it, reply and tell me what you thought of the movie! Thanks bunches!

Big Eden is a wonderful film with lots of unique characters and a message of acceptance and love. I especially enjoyed the DVD extras cuz you get to see the final kiss scene and then you get to see the actors cracking up with laughter afterwards. It's terrific.

I've never heard of "Big Eden".I am a big fan of "East of Eden" however. |

Just watched the DVD today and I have to say this is a gem of a movie. If you have not seen it I highly recommend it. His character Pike Dexter is so sweet and shy and adorable and Eric looks very handsome. His hair is great too. All the characters in this movie are very endearing and once you start watching you will not be able to stop. Please check it out and come back with your comments. I would love to hear what others thought of this movie. |

Regarding Big Eden I really want to see it but I know he has a crush on another guy in this movie. I have nothing against gay people but I really don't wish to see Eric kiss another man on screen. That is not an image I want in my mind. Seeing him get hot and heavy with a woman is okay although in his movies he never seems to have love scenes. In Skins he has a relationship with a married woman and she straddles him on a chair in the kitchen area and they kiss but that is the only time I have even seen him kiss someone in a movie, I think. But a guy. Maybe I should not watch this one but I want to as Eric says he is really proud of his role in it. I am torn. |

Hi MeggieD I certainly will let you know what I think once I watch it. Do you just love Eric Schweig movies too? I could watch him in anything. He makes me want to be Indian. Uncas is my favorite role for him. He was just so damn handsome in the movie and was the star in my opinion. His strong, silent type made the movie. |

Yeh, I've seen Big Eden too. I think it's a great movie, an overlooked gem. Wish more people could see it. Eric was great as Pike. |
