hey guys, i just saw LOTM for the first time in my life about two weeks ago and i think ive watched it about 7 times now. lol. but i was so excited to show it to my best friend last night when i spent the night at her house. i thought she would feel the samr way as i do, but instead, she fell asleep right after "the kiss" and said she didnt remember any more after that, and what she did remember was pretty boring. i thought she would at least like uncas as much as i do, and the love story between him and alice, but she didnt really care!
People my age dont care about movies set in the past with lots of meaning to them anymore. its really saddening. i need some encouragement. please reply!

yea, your right rydergrl. i shouldn't worry about anybody else and just enjoy the movie myself. o well, its their loss anyway!

Don't lose any sleep over it jlee, I know some adults who aren't that fond of the movie and who do not appreciate it. The important thing is that you appreciate it for the wonderful film that it is and that you are able to enjoy it.

I know what you mean! I'm thriteen years old, and not many people respect it as much as they should. Some stupid boy in my class said "That movies hilarious, especially when they throw Uncas off the cliff." I wanted to kill him! lol. Yea, I LOVE Uncas, too! lol. Luckily, my best friend loved the movie like I did. LOTM is the greatest movie ever...and it deserves so much more than it's recieved. I've never cried so bad in a movie in my entire life (When Magua kills Uncas) :( :( :(..and it sickens me when people can sit there and laugh! But, I'm getting to the point when I say to myself "Who cares what people say..its the greatest movie out there!"

I love LOTM as much as you do I belive. Though I am younger, when I saw it a few months ago for kinda almost the first time, I fell in love with it. And I watched it 8 times the next week! (I beat you by one) Anyways, I also gave it to my best friend to watch but she loved it as much as I did. Not exactly the first time, but after the 2nd time watching it, she loved it too. Anyways, your not alone! People love LOTM (and Uncas). So keep watching it no matter who is with you because it is totally awesome!!!!!!!
