Posted - May 10 2004 : 11:33:22 AM I've read most of the topics and I belive there's not have been such topic before...(forgive me if there is;theyre just so many...) Just wanted to know whitch ones are your favorites Here's some of mine...
Boy:So you can have a son like me? Uncas:Never, you are too strong.Turn me old too fast. Alexandra:That's what he's doin' to his mama...
Duncan:I thought British policy is 'Make the World ... England', sir
Hawkeye:... case your aim is any better than your judgment.
Cora:"We're a breed apart and we make no sense?... Hawkeye: In your particular case, miss, I would make some allowance... Cora:Thank you so much.
Cora:You are right, Mr. Poe. We do not understand what is happening here. And it is not as I imagined it would be, thinking of it in Boston and London ... Hawkeye: Sorry to disappoint you ... Cora: (eyes downcast) On the contrary. It is more deeply stirring to my blood ... ... than any imagining could possibly have been ...
Cora:What are you looking at,Sir? Hawkeye:I'm looking at you,Miss...
Jack:That reason wears a striped skirt and work in the surgery? Hawkeye:It does,no efence but it's a better looking reason than you Jack Winthrop
Cora:Duncan, you are a man with a few admirable qualities. But taken as a whole, I was wrong to have thought so highly of you.
Cora:They're going to hang you...Why didn't you leave when you had the chance? Hawkeyeecause what I am interested in is right here ...
Hawkeye:Listen. Submit. You hear me? You're strong. You stay alive. I will find you ... no matter how long it takes,no mather how far...I will find you...
Hawkeye:I am La Longue Carabine! My death is a great honor to the Huron. Take me!
Chingachgook:... a warrior goes to you swift and straight as an arrow shot into the sun. Welcome him and let him take his place at the council fire of my people He is Uncas, my son. Bid them patience and ask death for speed; for they are all there but one - I, Chingachgook - Last of the Mohicans.

Posted - February 12 2005 : 05:34:04 AM Without doubt 'You call yourself a patriot and loyal subject to the crown?!!!' 'I don't really call myself sbuject to much at all!' A foreshadow of the revolution |

Posted - January 16 2005 : 5:02:56 PM My favorites have got to be: Chingachgook's last speech on the DVD (the whole thing!) "Headin' west to Can-tuck-ee." And, of course, "Well, we kinda face to the North and real sudden-like, turn left" Good stuff right there. |

Mike is part of our people that attend the Lake George Tactical, so he would understand the, "nice day to be out on the lake major" rought quote. we say that every year on our way out. |

..And Chingachgook's final speech on the DVD that ends with "...But once, we were here." <<< I love that line!

Just something about Can-tuck-ee I guess.
"It was on the first of May, in the year 1769, that I resigned my domestic happiness for a time, and left my family and peaceable habitation on the Yadkin River, in North Carolina, to wander through the wilderness of America, in quest of the country of Kentucky......" - Daniel Boone

Posted - June 07 2004 : 1:03:59 PM I like Hawkeye's "I don't consider myself subject to much at all.." Or maybe he says "call myself..." Either way, I LOVE that attitude. Sums up good ol' Hawk and the way I look at life as well... |

And I think many of the best moments in the film required no dialogue at all.
