Anyone make it through this one yet?
I've given it two or three stabs, but haven't made it past the first couple of hundred pages, though I've done a fair amount of "dipping".

Yep, that's what I'm waiting for too. Unfortunately, my list is growing...
Guess I'll just have to take the summer off one of these days.
I wish.

Posted - June 17 2002 : 9:27:39 PM Hey Scott,
I know you have posted this one before, and I thought, "Oh, Oh, let me go read some more so I can discuss this book." I have started it too and if I had nothing to do for two weeks - I mean nothing ( I am SO easily distracted - A-D-D and all - you should see me clean house, it'd drive you crazy!)...this is the book I would absorb myself in. It is the one book I am determined to finish some day, but really should read more before I can discuss it. If there is a more complete treatment of the F&I War in one book, I haven't found it!
Another book I am just finishing that has a good bit of pre-F&I War info, particularly that part involving George Washington is, GEORGE WASHINGTON: A Life...by Willard Sterne Randall. The first hundred pages of this book are an excellent primer for the Jumonville Glen incident.
Will let you know when I get a little further in C of W. Would love to discuss it with you!
