Posted - May 04 2003 : 05:48:58 AM I read on another topic that someone thought if Alice and Uncas would have survived and had children the Mohican tribe would have carried on. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out if that is true. Their children would be half mohican and half English....does that still count as carrying on the mohican tribe? |

Posted - May 04 2003 : 07:39:10 AM Yes, it would ... Tribal roles for many tribes are filled with folks who are 1/8 or even as little as 1/16 bloodlines of that particular tribe. "Full-blooded" Indians are getting rarer & rarer!
Do understand, though, that the "last" Mohican was a fictional literary device! There are still Mohicans ... |
