I have acquired an old (not sure of the date) LOTM comic book. It has been a long time since a comic book made me laugh out loud, but this one sure did. It's not meant to be funny; the story is packed with all the adventcha we know and love, but sometimes the dialogue is a bit dated.

Now here's the good news: YOU can be the proud owner of this rare comic book. It will be available for auction at the Great Mohican Gathering in June, and all proceeds will go to Ariel. This would be a great addition to any LOTM collection!

The question of course now is, what mobile provider does Magua use? And if it's Verizon...well, now I just have a very funny image of Magua walking to different points on the cliff trail. "Can you hear me now? Good!" "Can you hear me now? Good!"

Of course Magua has a cell phone case, how else could Carter call him from Chimney Rock?
I verified the comic book is from 1942! I'll try to scan in some more later.

Kind of looks like Magua has a cell phone case too! Just think what fun we could have with all the other pages! Steph - I think you may need to scan the whole comic book! "he's not ugly, he's our Magua!" I love it!!!!!

Ok I just noticed something in that second frame that might spark even more interest. Does it look like the soldier standing behind Montcalm isn't wearing any pants? Hmmmmm? Those darn Frenchmen! You never know what they're going to do, even in a comic book!

The comic book is going to be a wonderful addition to the items being auctioned off!!!
