It was beautiful day, no... a perfect day, to be "doing CRP"! A look at Lake Lure as we finish the Skyline Trail.

SUCH a beautiful day in fact, we decided to take advantage of it and run up to Table Rock also, tired legs and all!

Excellent job, so far, GG!!! Believe it or not, folks, these die-hards actually visited Table Rock on this same day. Can't wait for THAT picture! |

It seems like every year, no matter how many times we walk the trails and film sites, every gathering we find something new! This year was no exception. This spring has been very wet, with many spots in NC receiving 10-15 inches above normal rain so far this year, hence the great waterfalls (We couldn't help but wonder what the Nolichucky would have been like!!) As we walked the cliff trail, looking across Hickory Nut gorge, we spied a waterfall on Old Rumblin' Bald Mountain.

AND THEN....as we are enjoying some leisure time at the top of the falls, contemplating the horrible task of having to trek the trail every day to empty trash... we spy something akin to the silver bus blooper! Looking across the stream away from the trail, THERE...in the woods is a pick-up truck! A TRUCK!!!!! On a road that is right beside the top of the falls!! No more sympathy from me summer employees!!!
