Posted - November 02 2019 : 2:03:35 PM http://www.fortat4.org/events/fundraisers/harvest-dinner/dinner.php . The Fort at No. 4's annual Harvest Dinner is both a year-end celebration as well as a fundraising activity for the museum. This year's activities will begin at 5:30 pm with a small reception in our Parker House followed by family-style dinner service at 6:00 pm. Dinner guests will dine by candle light, and be warmed by the fires in our Great Hall and Hastings House. Musical entertainment will be provided again this year by Tobias and Prudence (aka Lawrence Young and Susanne Powers).
The menu and additional details will be posted as they become available.
Dinner Reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

Posted - December 01 2019 : 4:28:43 PM From the Harvest Dinner ... Got this link from the Fort's director - I don't have an instangram account. - I had e-mailed them suggesting they post a few pics etc. after an event on the Fort's site. - Received a reply that they do - but it's on their Insatgram & Facebook sites. . https://www.instagram.com/p/B489c2MFG7x/ |

Posted - November 04 2019 : 06:08:45 AM I can see that Thanksgiving would not be good. It's a family day. Easter in another that everyone avoids, which really messes with the April events since the date of Easter changes every year. Every year I always say that this is the year I will make it back north. But my traveling buddy is too old now, and it seems that the family expects more of me as time goes on. But I haven't given up yet! |

Posted - November 03 2019 : 09:57:04 AM Years ago they actually held this event (or tried to) on Thanksgiving ... lotta push-back apparently. Folks had a lot of different plans for that day & being at the Fort wasn't one of them. - So, they now moved the date & now call it a "Harvest Dinner". |
