For those of you who enjoy PC simulations & historically based games [Sarge????] ...
Warning: You WILL become addicted!
First you need to purchase a doozy of a game by a little company called MadMinute Games. Game is named Take Command: Second Manassas, obviously a Civil War game. It has a real-time war engine that is the best I have ever seen, highly intelligent & adaptable AI, map artwork so good they look like photos of the actual sites [someone on their message boards went to Cedar Mountain in Virginia & took photos of the real battlefield & posted comparison shots to the game screens - unbelievable!!!  ], superb graphics, very realistic, real nice game play [LOS, couriers, and much more] etc., etc. You will become addicted!
The good news? A group is in the process of supplying an add-in called Rebels & Redcoats, dealing with Cowpens & Guilford Courthouse. Look over the preliminary sprites at Rebels & Redcoats and see what you think!

And speaking of addicting games, there's a fairly new strategic-level computer game out (from France, no less!) called "Birth of America." Its scenarios cover both F&I War as well as Rev War. The gameplay is straightforward (movement is click-n-drag), the maps are gorgeous, the AI is slick, and the developers are very responsive through their forum. Download the demo & check it out! I just finished the 1775-63 campaign as the British; the French really have little chance (can you spell 'reinforcements'?)
