Belue is author of [i][b]"The Long Hunt: Death of the Buffalo East of the Mississippi"[/b][/i] (1996), [i][b]"A Sketch of the Life and Character of Daniel Boone"[/b][/i] (1997) and of Lyman C. Draper's landmark biography, [i][b]"The Life of Daniel Boone"[/b] [/i] (1998). All three books were nominated for the Kentucky Governor's Award and the last called by [b][i]"Publishers Weekly," [/i] [/b] "a treasure trove of Early Americana."
