Posted - February 25 2007 : 12:43:52 AM My friends, if any of you are so inclined, we would really appreciate prayers for my Mother-in-law, who's 82 and in the final stages of Alzheimer's. She literally has not eaten anything in 2 weeks & has only taken a few sips of liquids during that time. She could pass on as early as tonight but probably no later than (probably) Wednesday. Prayers especially for her daughters, Pauline & Shirley, sons-in-law, grandsons (4), great-granddaughter (1).
It's time for her to go; she said today that she's ready (one of the few things that was intelligible). She even told my wife that she would see her in Paradise ... oh yeah, she's ready. My Mother-in-law's name is Adele (pronounced 'AD-del-lee').
TIA, Obi. |

Posted - March 02 2007 : 11:17:10 PM Obediah, As hard as it is when a loved one passes on, I am sure that everybody is relieved that she is finally at peace. I am so glad that her family was able to be with her at the end.

Posted - February 28 2007 : 08:24:31 AM Well, the inevitable finally happened...my Mother-in-law passed away at age 82, early this morning, peacefully and quietly, with her daughters at her bedside.
I really want to thank all of you, my friends, for your prayer and your thoughts. They helped, a lot. |

Posted - February 27 2007 : 3:50:35 PM Somehow I missed this post or else I would have responded sooner. My prayers are with you and your famiy Obediah. My mother-in-law passed away a few years ago. She also had Alzhiemer's and it is so very heart wrenching to see a loved one going through this terrible disease. I am just glad that Adele knows that she will be in a better place soon!!!

Posted - February 27 2007 : 11:10:52 AM Sorry to be late in reading this Obediah. My prayers are with you also. My own 89 year-old-GM is reaching those stages too. A peaceful passing would be a blessing although saying goodbye is never easy.

Posted - February 26 2007 : 08:49:19 AM She is in my prayers, too. I hope that she will leave this life peaceably.
My own sweet mother, who is 87, is in early stages Altzheimer's. My prayer for her is that God will take her home before she reaches the last stages. As much as I don't want to see her go, I also don't want to see her that way. |

Posted - February 25 2007 : 8:23:39 PM Obi, my Mother-in-Law transpired from this horrendous disease on December, 26, 2007. The transformation of this beautiful women into an unrecognizable caricature of her true self is still incomprehensible to her sadden family. However, more importantly, my heart goes out to you, the care taker. May God Bless you in this time of utter turmoil and unbelief, may God strengthened your will to comprehend the incomprehensible, may you, soon, receive peace. |
