Indeed! And as for the meaning of life, I quote the lyrics of Eric Idle as he pops from the fridge, dressed as a woman:
"So, remember when you're feeling down and insecure How amazingly unlikely is your birth, And hope that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space 'Cause it's bugger all down here on Earth!"
Most days I tend to agree with that statement. Especially if I've been reading celebrity news or grading papers. |

Posted - August 04 2007 : 9:09:49 PM Depends upon your perspective. Life may be the penalty for failing to recognize the essence of reality: death is the beginning of resurrection unto the truth. When we die, we transcend physical reality and are delivered unto truth. |

Life is not the destination. Death and afterlife are the destinations. Life is the journey.

Posted - March 29 2006 : 11:49:17 AM Speaking of babies and such, Betty's daughter graduated from nursing school last June, and finally got her fondest wish. She was working as a cath nurse, but has gotten a job as an OB nurse. That was what she went into nursing for in the first place, to be an OB nurse. Color her extremely happy.
All kidding aside, when you see two new parents holding their new baby, that's a pretty good picture of the meaning of life, eh? At that moment, holding that baby, THEY don't seem confused about what the meaning of life is, huh? |

Posted - March 28 2006 : 9:29:21 PM That reminds me of what my patients say when I show them their baby's umbilical cord on ultrasound..."Now that is connected to my belly button right?" Weeeeeeeell, only if our time warps collide, I say. Yep we're all hooked together at the belly button! |
