Posted - January 17 2009 : 09:24:43 AM Someone just sent me an e-mail yesterday concerning Fort Mifflin along the Delaware in Philly, PA. I thought that all of you would like to know the fort's situation. It seems like the fort will most likely have to close it's doors due to financial difficulties. I was sent a long letter written by the executive director of the fort, Lee Patrick Anderson. It is too long to post here so I highly recommend everyone check out http://www.examiner.com/x-2272-Philadelpia-Landmarks-Examiner~y2009m1d7-Fort-Mifflin-could-close-doors-forever. If you get into this link and scroll down the page to the article on Fort Mifflin the letter and history of the fort is posted. I urge everyone to read. I have never been to the fort myself but many of my friends attended events there on a regular basis and I'm sure some of you have too. It would be a shame to see this place die.

Posted - January 19 2009 : 10:48:01 AM Sorry about the link Rich, try this one-it's a lot shorter then the first one. http://www.examiner.com/x-2272-Philadelpia-
When you reach the link, scroll down the page a little until you reach a list of articles, Fort Mifflin among them.
I hope this time it works!

Posted - January 18 2009 : 11:12:06 AM Hi Kay,
I went to Ft. Mifflin for a couple of English Civil War events in the past. I always enjoyed myself there, and it is ashame that such a site would have to close.
