From the author's son:
Hi, My father, a native of New York and Vermont, wrote a historical novel, THE BORDER COVENANT, which chronicles the travels of Roger's Rangers from the second battle of Fort Ticonderoga (1759) to the Plains of Abraham in Quebec. There is a trusted Indian guide, Toe-lee-ma, Johnathan Evans, and his Nephew, a teenager Tom Evans, along with assorted rag tag characters of the frontier and British Regulars. It is similar in tone to the novel LAST OF THE MOHICANS, as my father grew up with the lore of the Leatherstocking Saga in the middle of the country where the forts lie, and we visited Fort Ticonderoga and spent time at Lake George. While studying in Albany and Schenectady (Union college) he spent many hours meticulously researching the subject of the book. He was also a writing instructor for 38 years at Ferris State University in Michigan, and has edited textbooks on writing. |

The music, in case anyone is wondering, is taken from the soundtrack of the movie "King Arthur." It's one of my favorite soundtracks... right after that from LOTM. |
