Posted - September 27 2009 : 6:18:26 PM As we all know, and regret greatly, Tony Hillerman died last fall. It's impossible that the many fans of his Joe Leaphorn/Jim Chee novels will ever forget him, and the people among whom he lived haven't forgotten him either. Here's an article about a reading held recently in his honor:

How much would you pay to see and hear Wes Studi read from "Skinwalkers"?! (I really wish the newspaper had included a photo of him with this article.) It's great to read about the affection and enthusiasm that people have for him and his writings. I've read elsewhere that there's even a Tony Hillerman Middle School in Albuquerque. |

Posted - September 28 2009 : 6:02:38 PM Well, if I can recall correctly, she left the StudiGroup and just decided it was time to move on with her life to newer and better things. I still run into her on Facebook once in awhile. |
