San Antonio wants to run a light rail system on Alamo Street, right infront of the Alamo. Talk about a waste of money! The city should focus on restoring Alamo Plaza and not adding more modern intrusions. |

Posted - November 08 2008 : 2:16:21 PM Hey gang,
I can't stress enough how important this is.
We have a chance to make a difference, to restore dignity to Alamo Plaza. And Texas Monthly is giving us that outlet, allowing our voices to be heard! If something isn't done now, I am afraid Alamo Plaza will remain the tourist trap that it is today. Is that how we are to show respect to one of America's most famous battlefields?
Please, take a moment to read the two page article and comment! Thank you!
