Hey everyone,

Thought I'd let you all know that I am finally making it to the Alamo again and will be taking part in the re-enactment of the Alamo battle, making it my first re-enactment ever! I'll be one of the younguns wearin the coonskin cap!

I'll post photos when I'm back from my visit!

Wonderful pics and great to see a young person so interested in History and re-enacting. Wish my kids took after you in that department Wade. Almost feels like I was there looking at those great photos. Thanks.

Look forward to your pics, Wade ... I loved San Antonio; I'm sure you will, too. Beautiful & interesting city. And, of course, the Alamo & grounds is a very special place. Have fun!

Wade that sounds like so much fun. I would love to see that re-enactment some day. My husband would love to see the Alamo so hopefully some day in the not too distant future. Good luck with it all and I know you will have so much fun.

Know where you'll be staying yet? I only ask because the Menger Hotel in downtown San Antonio has rooms overlooking the Alamo. It's pretty cool to look out your window at night and see the Alamo just across the street. The Menger has uniforms from the Alamo battle on display in its lobby, too, if you're interested, AND the hotel is supposed to be haunted. Spooky!

I'm from Texas and spend quite a bit of time in San Antonio every Christmas and (if I'm lucky and can afford it!) summer. If you want any recommendations on what to do while you're there (not that you won't already be busy re-enacting), feel free to fire questions my way.
