One of our more ambitious projects was to be The Companion Guide ... a companion, not only to the guide book, On the Trail of the Last of the Mohicans, but to the web site - this Web Site - of the same name. We had great plans & vision for this book, but, alas, things got in the way and it never really got off the ground.
A few bits & pieces did make it up on the web site, at least, and you can read those portions at The Mohicanlander's Companion Guide. One section that was pretty much completed - and is up on the site in its entirety - is the section on The Locations Rediscovered. There, you will find more photos, more info on the locations, updates, behind-the-scenes stories of "the search," and corresponding page numbers in the original book to tie it all together. The two combined are what the guide booklet would have looked like if it weren't so darn expensive to self-publish causing space to be a major factor in the final release.
Feel free to print it out & keep it tucked in with the "other" half! |

Posted - April 05 2004 : 4:00:56 PM Rich, Well, rather late, but instead of placing blame on computer, useage by other family members, a new board; trying to keep up; I am looking forward for anything you can add to your original book which I'd bought years and years ago! Please keep in mind, that, like myself you is a year late or more to thank you, there are I am VERY sure, who would not respond or say much... Thank you for your work, and to Lainey for her patience and her work on the board.
