This would be for our Frontier News & Notes page.
Individual listings accepted as well ... please include all relevant details, including contact/registration info.

Posted - October 04 2003 : 2:52:47 PM Absolutely Grenouille, I think that a folder for 2004 event schedules should be created in the coming months. Most units will be holding their 'dreams & schemes' meetings for next season, around or after the holidays. It will give potential spectators and/or recruits a chance to see and hook-up with their favorite unit(s).
Your Most Humble Servant,

Posted - October 04 2003 : 10:30:33 AM Hello liste,
Here are some 2004 events to mark on your calendar for next year.
F & I War
June 19 & 20 -- Cook Forest, Cooksburg, PA July 3 & 4 -- 250th event at Fort Necessity, PA
Rev War
July 31 & August 1 -- Assault on the Capital, Quebec City, Quebec
I attended the 1998 Rev War event in Quebec, and it was one the best events I've been to. There were over 2,000 men-at-arms, not counting camp followers, and it was the largest Rev War event since the bicentennial of Yorktown in 1981. The crowds were HUGE, with around 60,000+ watching on Saturday, and 70,000+ on Sunday. With all the people present, it felt more like a rock concert-type atmosphere than a reenactment. The tactical is held right on the Plains of Abraham. If you've never been to Quebec City, you have missed visiting one of the safest and most beautiful cities in Canada. I liked Quebec so much, that after the 1998 reenactment, I went back in 2000 and spent a week and a half there. I had a blast!
Regards, Jim |

Posted - January 16 2003 : 1:30:05 PM I have a subscription to Smoke and Fire News. It lists all of the various reenactments scheduled throughout the year... at least the ones they know about, which is most. I could post it here if you like, although it'll be pretty extensive.
You might be able to find other resources by visiting the following links:

Posted - January 15 2003 : 7:55:59 PM Might this list be the same one Lane Savage has sent us the past couple of years, Sir Sjt.? That might explain why we've yet to receive one this year!!
And Theresa ... Fort Toulouse will fit in well.
Thank you both! [And Tim C., too, who's E-mailed some info.] |
