Posted - April 22 2004 : 05:29:16 AM This weekend is the annual commemoration of the battle fought in Petersburg, VA on April 25, 1781. Here is a website which will give you all the details:
http://www.petersburg-va.org/revwar/reinact.htm
If you are nearby and looking for something to do, come on by and take a look. This is a very good event. Be sure to find the camp of the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment, Grenadier Company, The Black Watch (the ones with the big bearskin hats!). I am SURE you will find 1st Sjt.Malcolm MacWilliam bellowing out commands and yours truly obeying dutifully. While I am known here for my F&I War presence, the 42nd is my Rev War "escape" from the pressures of command, and a chance to kick back and enjoy just being a lowly soldier, Pvt. Alexander Elliott.
Kilts, girls!! Bring your cameras!! Hoohooooooooo!! |

Have fun! |
