It's been reported that some virus/spyware issues may be present in the Mohican Chat Room of late. I just checked and all looks fine. If you encounter any more suspicious activity in there, please report in this thread with as much detail as possible.

Perhaps it is time for a new room, anyway.

Be sure, as always, you have updated virus protection on your computer!!!

For 2-3 weeks in a row, I kept getting kicked out of the chatroom by full-page popup ads. Then, on Tuesday of last week, some spyware files started downloading to my computer when I tried to sign in. It happened twice in a row. I thought my anti-spyware program blocked the files but apparently not. My computer started freezing at random times a few hours after I tried to sign in to chat. A scan with Spy Sweeper didn't pick up anything suspicious, but a Trend Micro antivirus sweep revealed 11 spy cookies on my computer. I deleted them and now my computer works fine again.

My own firewall/privacy software hasn't picked-up anything from here, but I'll let you know by PM if that changes.
