LOTM plays all the time on our cable so I always set the reminders for all the days it comes on...even though I have every copy made....Brian and Brett get so tired of it playing on the TV so they sneak in and turn off the reminders when I'm not looking..but I set them on all the TV's so I always win this game. Congrats on a wonderful site. |

I was able to watch LOTM the first night they showed it on AMC and yes, it is the extended version!! I was very happy about that!  |

That's right, Stephie. It's true. Our favorite movie has made it to the Big Time -- the American Movie Classics channel! I haven't watched it, yet, so I don't know which version they are showing. But knowing how much they repeat their movies, I am sure I will have plenty of opportunities. |

I recently saw that LOTM was playing on cable, I think it was on AMC. Perhaps that contributed to Saturday's rush.

Followed by what would have been a record breaker the next day, Thursday, October 19, 2005: 10,222!!!
The 2 days or so where the board was down due to a database move to a new server, counts were dramatically off. Then, yesterday [Saturday - which used to see results like 600-1000, or so], we were up to 7,000 plus.
If only all these visits resulted in book sales - I could retire! |

Well, that didn't last long ... and we skipped 9000 completely!

Monday, October 10, 2005 (Columbus Day) : 8481!!!!
3 of the past 7 days, we surpassed 8000 unique visitors. Now averaging well over 6000 per day. In the 3 years since this thread was started the record has increased by 6,000!

As Carter said, "Good job, Rich!" Maybe lots of students have just gotten assignments to write a paper dealing with American Indians? Or has LOTM been shown on TV recently? Whatever the reason, I agree with GG that we'll hit 10,000 before too long. |

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that LOTM is on Direct TV again. I tuned into the Encore channel and noticed it's started at 6:05-8pm and it's going on again at 9:05-11pm tonight. I had to pause cause of course the kissing part came on, and I was melting.... 
Rich, probably this will make the #'s sky high again. Later everyone, must return to the movie....  |
