Periodically...I am getting some wierd random white screen OLE/SQL Server blah blah blah errors.
Anybody else getting these?

Yes ... on Thursday I noticed in my web stats that it appears the entire site was down for several hours ... about 8AM thru Noon. Don't know the cause of that, but apparently it is fixed.
The other stuff you've been reporting was due to the zotob virus ... a recent devil that affects Windows 2000 servers ... like our E-mail & SQL servers. The attack was rampant last week throughout much of the Internet. My hosting company had to rebuild those servers, thus causing pretty widespread outages. The Against All Odds Message Board was not affected because that uses a Microsoft Access database, rather than the more sophisticated Server Query Language database used here. This should now be completely resolved. I hope?
Joyce, regarding the poster issue on our home page: that is a problem, off & on, that is caused by the AllPosters.com website ... apparently, they are having some kind of issue with serving some of their images ... anyway, pretty minor inconvenience.
Hopefully, the site is stabilized now!  |

I tried repeatedly to sign on yesterday morning between about 7:30 and noon, and kept getting that white screen. It was a great relief when the beautiful blue mountains finally appeared. |

Seems to be very intermittent for me. It's on...it's off, Oh, it's on again.
I'll print screen any more I get and shoot over to you Rich. Yep, it has been going on for at least 3 days.  |

Yes, I got the same white screen yesterday (Wednesday) morning around 8:30 AM or so. I even emailed Seamus to see if it was just my machine or a universal error. Then later on, I was able to get to the boards.
Also Rich, for the past several weeks I have noticed that the Home page of the site never completely loads. It hangs with the posters link address showing down in the lower system tray. It doesn't freeze up... still able to navigate around... it just never gets "Done." This has been happening on both my work and home machines. No biggie, just curious. |

One day recently, the server was down ... actually our E-mail server & the SQL server which houses the database for this board. Other than that, no known problems ...
You guys getting these errors in the past day or three?
If you get any more, please copy them & paste them in an E-mail to me so that I can see it verbatim ... okie dokie? |

I had trouble the other day. I could get to the main page, but when I clicked on a link, it gave me a server message. It said that there were different reasons why I could be getting this message and website maintenance was one of the reasons, so like Blue Otter, that's what I figured that it was. This is the first time that I have been able to get online today, so I can't say whether there has been a problem aside from the other day.
