Often times, we wish we had a Spell Checker for these posts we make! Well, now there is one & it works very well! It is an Add-on to Internet Explorer ... has nothing to do with Snitz Forums, but it works here and anywhere else you go during your Internet travels.
You can download it, for free, right here: IE Spell Checker
Nice thing about it is it ignores all the Forum code tags ... works perfectly here on the Mohican Board!
Happy error-less Posting! |

Posted - September 11 2002 : 8:37:05 PM Hey, Anth,
I meant no harm with this post! Maybe I should have included a Smiley and then you would have seen right away that I was joking around! Sorry if you took offense. And as for "keeping my venom coming," this was a "dry bite" (meaning no venom was injected)!
quote: ya know i just came down with *Diabetes Type 2 * i taske my Gluchophage pill 2'ce dailey if you CARE????????????and have blurred vision @ times since like last may and that expalins my typos...my typos are due to my occassional'high blood sugar....
Now, about your Type 2 Diabetes...I might not know you personally but, believe it or not, I DO CARE. And I can empathize and relate to your situation, because my husband was diagnosed with this same condition, right after we returned from the Fifth Annual Great Mohican Gathering this past June. Like you, he takes medication for his condition, and tests his blood sugar at least twice a day, every day. As a result of his diagnosis, we have BOTH made DRASTIC changes in our eating habits and our lifestyle: we eat a lot more salads & fresh vegetables & fruit now, we hardly EVER fry anything anymore, we read labels like CRAZY in order to purchase ONLY those things with little to NO SUGAR - did you know that even canned & frozen vegetables contain sugar?! It's used as part of the prosessing/preserving/packing routine! We also started EXERCISING a LOT MORE, like going out & hitting the ball around on the tennis court for about an hour and a half EVERY OTHER NIGHT. The end result is that he has lowered his average blood sugar reading more than 200 points since June! And I have lost twelve pounds! My husband's doctor told him that he is in the top 5% of his patients for compliance, i.e. doing as much as he can do to help himself and following "doctor's orders." I sincerely hope that you will be as successful in dealing with this disease as my husband has been.
As for that 16 year old keyboard, my hat's off to you, man! I would have thrown that thing out of the window YEARS ago!
And one of these days, I'll be happy to share the story of how I came to have the nickname of Rattlesnake Woman (if you CARE?????)! HA! HA! Believe it or not, it has NOTHING to do with me "biting" anybody! The "short version" of the story is, I relax - yes, relax! - by going out "in the field" as a volunteer & assisting in a biological project here in VA, to study & help protect the state-endangered Canebrake Rattlesnake. And I haven't bitten one snake yet!
Well, good luck with the diabetes. I mean that.

Posted - August 17 2002 : 9:13:37 PM Rich, Thanks for the heads up, unfortunately it's for Windows users only, no Macs. When I know I'm stuck on a word, I open an new Internet window and go to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary at:http://www.merriam-webster.com/. Yes, I realize I'm greatly outnumbered using a Mac, but here's the system requirements for those of you who have a PC and are interested in downloading IE Spell Checker:
Minimum system requirements: * Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP * Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher * 7 MB of free disk space
This should save some people time before they go to the site and find their computers may not be up to speed.
