Wow...if I can do this new board set up, I can do ANYTHING!!! Okay...hold on... I'm going to upload an image...Hmmmm...this is getting scary...What in the heck is 'forum code'????...I'm afraid to press it...all my efforts could go down the drain...OKay...okay...I'm gonna risk it. I'm too curious. My finger is poised over the the mouse...Blah! It's progamming stuff! I'm a point/click gal. Next...profile signature. I know I'm going to double sign at least 50% of the time. Good ol' preview. I adore that preview button. I'm gonna hav to wiing it on speelling..no tme to get milk, lete alne Get ieSpell. I'd like to get iePunctuation, too, one of these days. ieDating would come in handy, as well. Besides, I'm trying this new shiraz for the first time...things are a bit blurry at the moment...Now where does this message icon go?... Finally...time for smilies...wooohooooo! That clown is speakin' to me. LOL!!!! Even the text version is cute! Is this a pig or a cow?  ...daggone I need to get those glasses... Well, well, well...looks like the ol' preview button is still leaving alot to the imagination..where's the pic I uploaded? Insert image, maybe?![]() ![]() Uh-oh. Looks like there might be several images in there. No way to tell what they are...Where's the message icon? Welp, nothing ventured, nothing gained...I'm hittin the Post New Topic dohicky. Hope this goes in the right forum...stand back... |

Nah...oh, my...geez...*blush* I wouldn't go that far. "Huge success"? Peeshaw..you really think so? And YES, I've mastered quotes! What a brain cell-saver! (I've been running on brain fumes for a few months now.) Thanks for the extra tips, Rich. I'll keep practicing and won't give up on uploading pics. Next week, if all goes well, I won't need the wine.

I love putting faces with names and finding out a bit about everyone, especially the new-to-me folks. Posting has seemed a bit daunting, obviously, but I'm working on it. You figured out the Forum Code I see - all it is, is a safeguarded HTML for use only here. Bold, Italics, Color, etc. Text formatting stuff.
Nice! No double signature!! If you placed a signature in your profile, no need to sign your post. Mastered!
ieSpell - You can get it for your system by following the link on the button. Then you can use it on all your Internet adventures. But, as is, you can right-click in the text field and choose "Check Spelling" - at least I think - nobody has ever told me it works. I can't tell for sure 'cause I have it installed on my computer. It should work, though!
Message Icon - just an icon to set the tone of your post, if you want to. You did good!
Smiles - You nailed 'em!!
Image Insert - What you did is put the "image tags" in, but nothing inbetween. You needed an image URL: http://www.sourceofimage.jpg, [this URL won't work, obviously!] or something like that. OR, by clicking on the paperclip icon, just below the text field, you can upload one to your post directly from your PC. Don't give up!
Notelets - I see you tried them, as well. There are a multitude of ways they can be configured for use here, but I chose - because I couldn't really decide on a definite purpose - to allow all members to use them, and all visitors to see them. Basically, just a flag of your post - with footnote info, or some such. Optional.
All in all, Dana, I'd deem your post a huge success!
PS - And, you mastered Quotes! Is there no stopping you?!?
