Posted - June 02 2003 : 06:48:13 AM As some of you have previously noted elsewhere, the "This Day in History" link found at the top of this board no longer functions properly.
The reason for this is that A&E and The History Channel use a company called Commission Junction to track all of their links - for stuff like the "This Day in History" thing, as well as for sales of items featured on affiliate web sites.
Well, they used to have 2 separate bases, but have now combined them into one, A&E/History Channel, leaving all the plain ole History Channel links invalid!
As you can see, the link appears to still work, still calling in the data for "This Day in History." However, clicking on it, for the rest of the story, brings you nowhere ... You can get there by using this link: This Day in History.
I am hopeful, and have sent out distress calls, that we can get it working again some time down the road, but as of the moment it doesn't appear that they are offering a replacement link for this [unlike most all their others, which I spent several hours over the weekend fixing!!!].
Anyway, that's where we stand for now! |
