On the main board page, down below the two categories [The Mohican & The Against All Odds Boards], is a section called "Active Users." What's that mean?

That's a "typical" reading. In your profile, you may have noticed, is a selection that reads, "Show on Active Users." You can choose "yes" or "no." At the time I installed the Active Users feature, there were maybe 30 users, or so, registered. I went in & selected "no" for all of you. You can change that in your profile at any time.

By choosing "yes," everytime you log on your name will appear where it reads Members Online. In the above example, Joe Blow has chosen "yes" in his profile & is currently visiting the board. Notice that he also is counted as 1 Active Member.

If you select "no" in your profile, you are preferring to remain anonymous when you log on. You are not allowing others to see that you are online & visiting the board, but the Active Users feature still displays you as an Anonymous Member. In this example, 2 registered users are online who have chosen to remain anonymous.

If you are not a registered user, or if you are but haven't logged in, you will show up as a Guest.

So, in the above example, we have one Active Member (Joe Blow), two Anonymous Members, and two Guests visiting the board, but the only one who is known to the others is Joe Blow. You have control over whether your name will appear or not. Just go into your profile & edit it! Your name will never appear, regardless of your choice, if you are not logged in!

The Active Users Record line simply indicates the maximum number of users who have been on the board at any given time to date.

And now you know!

By the way, why not go back into your profile right now & flesh it out a bit so that everyone can get to know one another just a tad better!
