It means your weird!
Especially if you can cross your second toe clear over top of the big one. I do it - grosses my hubby out! |

Neat idea! Hope it's successful in the end. I, like you Light come from Blackfoot background (obviously) but I have little feet. So don't have the same issues there. I do run around alot with just bare feet. But something I've always done since I was a little girl was walk with my big toe up. It's a trademark per say of the Blackfoot. I do have a hard time wearing shoes which is why I just do flip flops or sandals alot.
Yep, my big toe too! And I can pick up things like paper or pencils off the ground with these crow toes. I've also heard the second toe being longer than the first is another sign of blackfoot feet and I've definately got that. My foot print looks really weird compared to most so I'll hear, "Whoa! Who's got the big foot and long skinny toes???" It's always fun to claim it! Then they stare at your feet for about five minutes! What's that about anyway? Never seen one before?
Anyway, it just really sucks that I can't order some, and like Irish - I'd rather be bare foot and fancy free. I hate closed toe shoes and stilettos hurt like no other! I wear them when I have to but my feet will swell right up after about 2hours in them. Apparently, NA feet were made for going barefoot from the very beginning! |

I am just plain "weird" as I like my feet like my men "naked"...heehee

Posted - September 26 2007 : 12:51:14 PM I do believe I feel discriminated...why can't I purchase the shoe? I have the blackfoot feet thanks to geneology (I have a blackfoot friend that can attest to that) and it's hard finding gym shoes shoes that fit! Traditional Nikes just ain't gonna happen on these babies!
Other than that I like the idea and am happy that others get to benefit from it. If only I could be so fortunate.
BTW Obi, LOL! |

Posted - September 26 2007 : 08:42:12 AM I like the fact that it's called "Air Native." I don't know why. I just like it. |

Posted - September 26 2007 : 08:31:30 AM I doubt any of us knew about the Indians feet being "larger" than us Non-Indians. Interesting fact though. Hope they like their shoes. |

Posted - September 26 2007 : 08:27:48 AM That is very neat! And I just learned something new. I had no idea that the average Indian foot was larger than, and shaped differently from, the average non-Indian foot. Interesting! |

Posted - September 26 2007 : 12:57:44 AM I don't get it. Most of the time the article uses the correct & accurate term, American Indian, then turns right around & uses that horrible PC term, Native American. C'mon guys, let's be a little more consistent, please.
BTW, I think it's a great thing that Nike is doing. We are not physically all the same, after all. |
