Hi all!

I recently found this site and am unbelievably happy I did! This past weekend I received the book "On the Trail of the Last of the Mohicans". Wow! Fabulous! I live in NC so this month we're heading to the mountains to visit some of the sites.
Also, recently re-discovered the movie and have been watching it continously - well almost continuously - have to sleep a little. Looking forward to the next gathering.

GG, if you want lower gas prices, you really don't want to be in California, that's for sure!

BTW, welcome on board (or to the board), di-mc. This place is almost as addictive as Vicodin!

Hello, Diane, from another NC resident! I live near Raleigh but commute to Chapel Hill for school (in traffic that makes what should be a 45 minute drive an hour and a half or longer . . . arrrgh). Welcome to Mohicanland or, as GG said, LOTM heaven.

Welcome Diane - from another NC DianA. I am actually a couple of hours east of you near ECU.

I grew up in Hickory and all my family are still there, so the Mebane area is about half way and thus my "rest stop" for trips home. I always hate it when I stop at one place and the next has lower gas prices, although they are ALL lower than they are here - so it's all good!

Glad you finally found your way here to LOTM heaven!
