Posted - January 10 2008 : 10:06:55 PM I suppose you're looking at me.
For a couple of weeks now, I've been lurking about this breathtaking site, so I've decided it's about time to introduce myself.
The name's Alexandra, though everyone calls me Alex. But! I wish everyone called me Alexandra, so feel free to do so.
I hated my name when I was little. But that's getting too random. So, I'll try to keep this fairly relevant.
LOTM premiered in theaters worldwide the year after I was born.
Therefore, I'm quite young, but also a life-long dancer, talentless artist, passionate horseback rider, shameless fashionista, loyal history buff, obsessive-compulsive writer, photograph addict, and proud fangirl of all those war-painted, tomahawk-whirling, "I WILL FIND YOU!" Mohican men. And, if I were more mathematically/scientifically inclined, I swear I'd invent some sort of portal that could transport myself, along with any other plucky passengers fearless for their health, smack dab in the middle of the best of our past. Namely the beloved FandI War. But then again, who wouldn't? |

Tragic.
And thatis why you ride shotgun in the Alamobile. lol |

Shocked?
And as for you, Mr. Dark Woods - I don't think a few scalp-hunters would frighten me a bit.
Lord knows they wouldn't get away with my hair.
I might even invite them to tea, weather-permitting.
I like your spunk Nativedoll, I can see the invitations now "The honor of your presence is requested for Tea and Tomahawks" :-) |

Posted - February 10 2008 : 6:57:54 PM Oh, it has hydraulics.
And please, leave the Barbie van with your Barbie dream house with Ken.
We can't be the dynamic duo while riding around in a pink suv. Well, I don't know, nothing screams intimidation like a pink suv riding down the street.

Posted - February 10 2008 : 6:34:26 PM ...Alamobile.
Having a giggle fit over here.
Wow.
As long as it has hydraulics, I'm game.
Otherwise, it's the Barbie Van for you, mister. |

Posted - February 10 2008 : 6:10:21 PM Hey,

I'll take the Alamobile. You can ride shotgun.
Nananananannananana Crockett-boy, Crockett-boy, Crockett-boy! |
nativedoll |
Posted - February 10 2008 : 5:50:42 PM I can deal with that.
...just don't get jealous and try to steal my cape or anything.
`cause there would be severe consequences.
Remember that. |

Posted - February 10 2008 : 5:31:11 PM You can have the pretty, billowy cape. I'll wear my coonskin cap. lol

Posted - February 10 2008 : 4:55:07 PM No tights? Aw.
I guess we'll have to stick with capes then.
Pretty, sparkly, billowy ones that go swish.
Let's save the world. |
Dillon1836 |
Posted - February 10 2008 : 3:41:59 PM Crockett Boy?! Well, as long as I don't have to wear rediculous tights....we'll fight crime in the name of history anyday! lol |
nativedoll |
Posted - February 10 2008 : 12:07:45 AM Yup.
And if you're lucky, I'll let you be my sidekick.
Crockett Boy, attitude in a coon-hat.

Posted - February 08 2008 : 1:41:57 PM Welcome nativedoll!
The French and Indian War (in addtion to inspiring Last Of The Mohican, LOTM) was an important pivot in world history. It was a causitive factor in the American Revolution, which also stressed France and may have led to the French Revolution.
Good luck in your development of the time-travel portal. Let us hope that no scalp-hunters use it to come to our era! |

Posted - February 08 2008 : 07:55:49 AM Which historical topics don't interest me? I'm in love with them all - from the ancient Mediterranean, to primitive Europe, to colonial expansion in the Americas.
History, to me, is a story. Call me a little girl, but I could listen to stories forever.
Your passion is the Alamo, I take it? |
