Well Miss Kay, if I had only known! I was in Hickory, NC the very minute you were typing that message! I was staying with my slightly confused escape arteest Grandmother, so Pop could have some time away.

Dang it!!! This is the first time that I have seen this. If I had known, then maybe we could have got together for lunch, along with your grandmother, of course. Oh well, we will all be together next year.
I am saving my pennies for our Gathering. It will be here before you know it.
And just remember that as we lumber toward old age, I will always get there a few days ahead of you. I'm an old fossil before you are. Take care sweetie!!!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY GG!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so sorry that I wasn't able to wish you a Happy Birthday on time, but about a week ago, my computer got fried by lightning, and so I am without a computer for awhile. I only have one now because I am at the hotel computer in Hickory NC for the holiday weekend with my husband, son, his girlfriend, my stepdaughter, son-in-law, and my adorable grandson.
We are going up to the Boone/Blowing Rock area tomorrow and wherever else we can wander off too.
Anyway, HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR GG!!!!!!!!!

GG You certainly don't seem, or look, close to AARP age. But let me tell ya, they are on the ball. My husband turned 50 in May and within a day or so of his birthday he was getting the AARP mail. They *know.*

As far as a rewind button...I'm only a year away from AARP discounts (they start at 50 ya know), so maybe I'll wait a year or two (or spend a year or two looking for that button) enjoying discounts and then look back. It is so funny, my mind always feels about 15years younger than my age. Although I do FEEL my age some days.

AGAIN - Thanks to all for the birthday wishes. You guys are the best!
