Posted - May 03 2007 : 06:50:44 AM We haven't heard from Sarge in a long time. Where ye be Sarge??? I miss your posts!!! I know that we all have quiet times, except for all of the Eric Schweig girls, and y'all know who you are. But that is a good thing!!! It seems like alot of people that have been with the board for years just don't post anymore. Just want to say hi to everybody, wherever y'all are.
Love, Kay |

Posted - May 07 2007 : 8:03:28 PM I am back, and happy to be so as well. I had quite a few things going on in my life, which unfortunately have kept me away from one of my favorite things... Visiting here with you guys.
Sarge!!! It is so good to see you posting again!!! I know how it is to have personal stuff going on, and we understand that sometimes you need a little time to yourself, but juat as long as you come back, that is the main thing!!! WELCOME HOME SARGE!!!

Posted - May 06 2007 : 06:10:54 AM Hello All,
I am back, and happy to be so as well. I had quite a few things going on in my life, which unfortunately have kept me away from one of my favorite things... Visiting here with you guys. Between work, family commitments (My daughter's First Communion was last month), and dealing with some personal issues (Nothing physically, just some stuff I had to work-out in my own head, which through my own fault I allowed to build-up after suppressing them), I inadvertently hid away from some of the people who care alot about me. Now that is no excuse for me being AWOL, but I know that I am blessed with such good people like Rich, Gary, Rose, Susquesus, Kay, and the bunches of others who have inquired as to my whereabouts, and it feels good to know that I have a place at the table here.
I am finishing up a new chapter to my historical fiction, and my WW1 unit had its 'baptism of fire' at Newville on April 20-22 (As soon as I get the pics uploaded, I'll post them here). The whole of 'B-Coy.' 1st Black Watch was there except for Pte. MacMillan, and it was a good thing for him, since Bombadier MacGregor pointed out that we may have to dig an 'inverted' firing step for him, so that his head will not be too high above the sandbags...
Oh well, I must get back to answering my bundle of PM's, but I'll check back in tonight.
YMH&OS,
The Sarge |

That's the lay of the land here, Kay. Right now, the only active posters that go way back to near the very beginning [1997-98] are Caitlin, Gadget Girl, and once in awhile Bea and Ilse. Off the top of my head, that's it. I may have missed someone. Sad, but true.
As for the Sarge, I heard from another poster who knows him. He's been busy with work, doing a WWI reenactment unit, and preparing future posts for his story here.
As Susquesus says, he'll be back. At least I certainly hope so. Always a gentleman. |

Posted - May 03 2007 : 11:18:56 PM I'm sure Sarge'll be back, he's a part of this place. He's a good guy that's always up for a debate. I almost never seem to agree with him in the lions den but he's fun to go back and forth with. |

Posted - May 03 2007 : 4:06:12 PM Yeah Lady was fun and is missed along with Paazau from down under. Just too busy with work and life I guess but we all still find time to post. I do wish my buddy MeggieD would return also but I know she had some stuff to take care of. Hope it all worked out for her. |
