Posted - October 18 2007 : 11:11:19 AM Ok, I happened to remember a film the other day that I saw when I was younger. I think it was in the late 90's if thats' any help.
Anyway it was about a women living at some kind of out post in the middle of nowhere in the 1800's and I think her husband died or something happened that meant she was alone and pregnant. Their was a big threat of attack from the surrounding area by various tribes and somehow one of the warriors was injured and found his way to her cabin where she cared for him and over time they fell in love.
Does it ring any bells to anyone? I can't remember the name and it's driving me crazy lol |

Susank, just wondering did you get to see SWCH yet and if so your thoughts?
Ha...funny you should ask that today! Kirachi was very helpful and patient with me and walked me through downloading it (took 2 days!) and getting the program to burn it on a DVD so I could watch it. And then I found out my computer doesn't have a DVD burner! So I thought, well so much for that movie My daughter came home for Thanksgiving and she said she had a DVD burner on her laptop so I was gonna try and transfer the file over to her computer. She said "why don't you just watch it on yours?" and I didn't think I could cause it was just a bunch of files so she downloaded something for me and I was able to watch it!!!
So long story short, I watched it last night and I really liked it. Michael Greyeyes looked amazing in this. Rodney Grant not so much. I'm so glad she went back to him in the end. I wish they had showed more of them when they got together at the river
Oh, and Michael Greyeyes looks like an excellent kisser...doesn't he?? |

Posted - November 15 2007 : 7:54:23 PM He does put in an appearance again but that's all I will say. It is very sad when we see him once more.
What did you think about the girl who was taken captive and what happened to her? What a horrible thing to do. |

I have it on DVD and it is excellent. I originally found the DVD at the Library and then bought one from the bargain bin at Wal-Mart last Summer of '06. I think it was a mini-series on tv. I just love this one. Such strong women and then there is always Michael...sigh. Have you seen Michael yet? and isn't he cute?
I'm glad that you said it was a mini-series cause I was thinking that this is one heck of a long movie! I have seen Michael GreyEyes and he does look good although a little weird with that makeup on. The lip stuff looks goofy I think I'm pretty far into it now. Both of the younger kids are grown and have children of their own and the Civil War just started. Is Michael GreyEyes in it anymore? |

You should see him as "Tarantula" in "True Women" another very good movie. Only problem is not enough of his character but he wears a stovepipe hat and cute makeup and is adorable.
Hey Irish...guess what I found at the library yesterday??? None other than True Women! I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I was able to watch about half of it yesterday. It's on VHS and not great quality but what the heck, right? |

Posted - November 12 2007 : 11:31:12 AM Then there is the part, by the river, when he asks her to wash his horse for him and she is stroking the animal, rubbing it down and he watches on with his tongue hanging out like a dog in heat and where she holds up the furs to his back to test them for size....sigh. Lots of "moments" in this one.

Posted - November 12 2007 : 11:21:33 AM lol no, not a hard choice at all. I don't know, I did kind of feel sorry for her hubby but he had an edge of creepiness about him that didn't sit right.
Oh yes! That kiss was
I also loved the part when he asks her to be with him (not the first time) but she says she can't because she has a husband and he says something like "in your old life, this is your new life" and puts his hand on her cheek If I had been her that would be all the convincing I'd need lol

Posted - November 12 2007 : 09:08:03 AM Yes it is a wonderful movie and two favorite parts are when he pats the furs for her to "lay with him" and then when he chases her down and they have the "kiss" wow. What a kiss that is. Michael Greyeyes is just amazing in this and we also get to see WIHH too. What more could a girl ask for.
Wasn't a hard choice was it? Hubby or handsome Tokola although I did feel sorry for the hubby. |

Posted - November 12 2007 : 08:01:08 AM Fantastic movie btw! I loved it, even my guy sat through it...he did make some silly jokes (like when he asks Anna to lie with him and she says no, he looks all pouty and my guy was all "Dang no booty for me tonight" *rolls eyes*) Anyway I really enjoyed it, shame that the ending didn't work out that way in real life |

Posted - November 10 2007 : 5:47:11 PM Well Kirachi that's a good question. Don't want you thinking that I'm totally computer illiterate!!...but having never done this before and my daughter who has is away at school....soooo...I think I have a DVD burning program but I have no idea which one it is! Our main computer doesn't play DVDs but the Dell laptop that we got this year does and I guess it came with some kind of program. I've never seen anything on it that says Nero though. Do I need to have that??? |

Posted - November 09 2007 : 06:48:31 AM Not watched it yet haha Maybe this weekend. Just to let me know, do you have the DVD burning program Nero Susan? If so it'll be very simple you just download it and burn it onto disc. Torrents aren't as scary as they sound (took me ages to start using them but they are fantastic for large files, I can watch my family in Europes home movies) they are just a tool for downloading large files.
Anyway I'll PM you with instructions as soon as it's ready, which should be by sunday |

Oh, Susank, the other day I was rummaging thru the $5 bin at Walmart and found Black Cloud, I picked it up and watched it. Not bad! Some good eye candy.
Another good place to find cheaply priced movies is Big Lots. I picked up "A River run through it" with Brad Pitt for $3.
I'm glad you found it. Yes, very good eye candy indeed!!
All the WalMarts must have the same movies in the $5.00 bin! How funny. I saw A River Runs Through It in there too, but I just ended up getting Black Cloud. Darn, we don't have a Big Lots near us or I'd be there next |

Kirachi, has the movie gotten to you yet? I'm dying to hear your opinion of it!
Irish...I was in Wal-Mart yesterday and was digging through the $5.00 bin. Didn't find True Women, but I did find Black Cloud with Eddie Spears and Russell Means. I thought that was a good find!
Hey Susan. I'm still waiting for the DVD to come I'll let you know as soon as it does though |

Posted - November 05 2007 : 09:30:02 AM No familiar with Michael Spears. Will have to look him up.
Just wait until you see SWCH. Michael Greyeyes is DDG (drop dead gorgeous) and wonderful story. |

Yes it is. I have seen it in our Walmart bargain bins as well and have seen the movie. Eddie looks gorgeous and so does Russell. Have you watched it yet?
I did watch it! And you are right....Eddie is GORGEOUS in it. His acting was so-so, but well worth the $5.00. I used to think that Michael Spears was better looking than Eddie, but now I think I may be changing my mind. |
