Posted - September 06 2007 : 4:09:17 PM If you saw Uncas walking down the street and then you saw Pike Dexter walking down the street, would you know they were the same person?
I wouldn't...I think they look totally different. I would never have thought they were both ES. My daughter was home from school last weekend and we watched Big Eden and then I showed her what ES looked like in LOTM and she said he looked the same.
I think I'm starting to Pike more than Uncas!!! |

Posted - September 07 2007 : 10:19:13 AM There were a couple of times in the movie where I could see Uncas a little...when he would look a certain way, but mostly he looked very different to me.
Did you listen to the director's commentary? I thought the part was funny about everytime ES walked by the dog in that one scene where he was going home to put that awful red shirt on the dog bit his hand, so he ends up just running by the dog. |

Posted - September 06 2007 : 6:00:43 PM I would definitely recognize him. They both look very similar with the longer hair although Pike was definitely heavier. Still both the silent types that's for sure. Yes I prefer Pike as he was so sweet and shy and lovable and man could he ever cook.....a definite plus in any woman's book, a man who can whip up a delicious dinner. Too bad it was another man who reaped the benefits though. Oh, that kiss....sigh. |
