Posted - June 17 2005 : 4:57:36 PM This is definetly the best Batman film yet! Better than the Burton films even!
I saw Batman Begins on opening day with my dad and brother and after the film all of us were hyped. We were talking about it the entire night and how "They finally got Batman right."
The point of this thread is "Go see it!". It has a great cast, great acting, and amazing action as well. The plot is well written and you are on the edge of your seat during most of the film. It's honestly my favorite Batman film. It's gritty, it's powerful, and sometimes it's scary. Even Batman, in some scenes, pops out of nowhere to grab the thugs. And there are some scenes where you follow the criminals as the run and boom! So, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. I wasn't.

Posted - July 20 2005 : 08:13:42 AM I agree, Wade -- "Batman Begins" is a very cool movie! Even if, like me, you aren't a Batman fan and haven't seen all of the earlier Batman movies, I think you'll enjoy this one. Seemed to strike just the right note of taking itself seriously enough, but with humor. ("I never thanked you." "You'll never have to.") And, as Vincent noted, a great supporting cast -- with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman on the side of right and justice, how could they lose?! I only wish Ken Watanabe's role had been larger -- he was so great in "The Last Samurai."
I don't generally enjoy science fiction, but I did go to see "War of the Worlds" because Steven Spielberg directed it, and I wasn't disappointed. One quibble, however: was anyone else bothered by the failure of the aliens, who had managed the "invasion" so well, to anticipate the ultimate flaw in their plan? But I think that conclusion is straight from the book, so we can blame H.G. Wells and not Spielberg. |

Posted - July 07 2005 : 09:59:24 AM I enjoyed it too! And I LOVED "War of the Worlds". If any of you love alien invasion movies, don't miss it. It makes "Independence Day" look like a muppet movie! |

I concur. Batman Begins has an amazing A list supporting cast - Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Ken Wanatabe to name a few.
A must see!
