Posted - February 09 2004 : 12:21:10 PM I voted for The Return of the King, probably because I was so anxious to see this one and I think I was bit more awed by the scenes. The Fellowship of the Ring was as Sarge has said, such a fresh appealing introduction to the characters. The Two Towers was bit dark and drawn out, although the more in depth look at Gollum was a treat. The Return of the King I think I enjoyed so much because it did have conclusion and pulled all three parts together so nicely. I had not read any of the books (sad to say), so I didn't notice how some parts of the books were skipped over and such. I can't imagine how folks could view this trilogy "out of order", though I know some folks that have. Wouldn't be near as enjoyable that way!

Posted - February 09 2004 : 10:39:22 AM I voted for "The Fellowship of the Ring", because I enjoyed the 'Gandalf's Arrival' scene. The pastoral background of the shire, and the introduction of the hobbits/halflings was visually appealing. Overall, I couldn't really give the 'nod' to any one of the trilogy, since they all compliment each other.
