Posted - May 12 2024 : 09:24:00 AM Great day - LOTS of folks. Met Lynn White again w/her husband. - She's only doing "day-enevts" now, no more sleeping in tents. There were groups from NH, Maine, Vermont, Conneticut & N.Y. ... Lot of momement & firing during the battle - especially from the Abernaki. . Image Insert:

Posted - May 13 2024 : 08:35:30 AM I don't think I am cut out for that kind of work. It requires a diplomat and I am not one. Besides, I will never leave the south. To many stakes here. |

Posted - May 12 2024 : 10:23:52 AM Had a great day, the weather was perfect & there were A LOT of folks there (money). - I'm surprised to hear other forts aren't doing "battle scenes" any longer - seems strange. - Lynn said to say hi - so hi. ... Our "Exucitive Director" only lasted one year - internal politices I guess - everyone's "hush-hush" on the subject. I thought she did a damn good job, especially with the new extra "fund raising" events. ... So Fitz, if you don't mind a small town with some really nippy winters - there's an "open position" at the Fort - I think. - One working there told me they may do away with that position -- no deision yet. |

Posted - May 12 2024 : 09:35:42 AM Thanks for the pics. Lynn looks just the same as she did 15 years ago. I don't know how she does it. I sure do miss those days! And I am glad that some site still thinks it is OK to do a battle. Most around here seem to have given it up, even Martin's Station. I never thought I would see that. It looks like it was a great event. |
