Posted - July 28 2004 : 4:18:13 PM I keep seeing veiled references to a new film in the works that deals with the French & Indian War. Someone out there that frequents this site MUST be involved with it somehow. I'm devoting this thread to worming out your secrets. If it's gotta be torture by saplings, it's gotta be torture by saplings. So please, if anyone has any dirt: deposit it here. |

Posted - August 14 2004 : 2:42:59 PM The other project you might be thinking of is the Robert Carlyle/John Sayles project JAMIE MACGILLAVRY. Sayles was reportedly in the Pittsburgh area doing research for it just after he finished his draft of THE ALAMO, and before he left for Central America to shoot CASA DE LOS BABYS.
Unfortunately, his work on THE ALAMO was pretty much ignored, and his name doesn't appear in the credits. With the relatively poor showing of big budget historical movies like THE ALAMO, KING ARTHUR, and even a so-so showing for TROY, funding for JAMIE is pretty shaky at this point. But, hopefully, someone will come along to revive the project.
