Dear Seamus & Grenouille,

I am sorry I will be missing you guys at Cook's this year. I will be there next year, but this year I wanted to help out my buddy Rich Stoll by adding to his contingent going to Ft. Laurens. Rich is also a part of Graham's Company (Private Stewart), and we take any opportunity to go to the field together, he is one cool guy. With Captain Timpany's Company of the 4th BN NJV, Rich is the sergeant and I am the private. It is nice to take a break from command every now and then, as Seamus knows it can be quite alot at times.

I shall pass on your compliments to Lady Munro, since she was scheduled to work the weekend of Cook's, she would have missed seeing her 'Guardian of the Wilderness'. I would also like a raincheck on the Port, I do love my libations...

Your Friend at the Forks of the Ohio,

Duncan, me lad! I am sorry you are not going to be at Cook Forest. I was hoping to see you, catching up on things and quaffing some port. With Grenouille, you and McMillan and myself, we could have a mini-Mohicanland Gathering, but we will drink your share in your absence!

This should be a great event, as always. I know the work that Jim and Dale have put into it, and with the numbers of registered troops, it will be a dandy! As Commander of Crown Forces, I am looking forward to some good tactical demonstrations. The Saturday morning "Braddock's Road", new this year, is going to be awesome! The spectators will feel that they are a part of it..........

So sorry you cannot be with us, Duncan. My best to Lady Munro.

Hi Sarge M.,
I wanted to do Fort Laurens myself this year as 8th PA, but unfortunately the encampment dates conflicted. My next Rev War event will probably be Québec. Maybe I`ll see you there.

Regards,
Jim
