At least for the moment, the volcano seems to be reducing its eruption. As noted on this link, the volcano tourism business provided a temporary boost to the shattered economy of Iceland.

It is interesting that molten lava is the "medicine" for a financial meltdown!

From a political viewpoint, it will be interesting to see if the ash cloud creates a cool summer. If it does, I wonder how the global warming debate will incorporate that information?
