Posted - November 11 2007 : 07:47:19 AM Hi All -
First of all, in an hour, or so, James Neel's Mohicanland will be fully updated & completed on the site. Thank you, James, for the nice re-telling of events as you saw them, and thanks, too, to Doug Garnett for retrieving the pics from your disk.
James Neel's Mohicanland
Longtime Mohican Gathering raffle [especially for Ariel's Auction] contributor and artist extraordinaire, H. David Wright, has been acknowledged by the famous Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art for his renowned work. His painting, Uninvited Visitors, was awarded the coveted Eiteljorg Museum Purchase Award. This award goes to the painting the Museum would most like in its permanent collection. It will hang in a prominent place for a year, and then be placed among their world-renowned collection of western art. Congratulations David on a truly deserved award!!
The Art of David Wright
And, finally, a new addition to our Sutlers' Space - where you may find goods and wares from various makers - this time some really fine woven goods.
Fibre Wood Art
Enjoy!! And maybe poke around in some of the other forgotten nooks & crannies of this expansive web site while you're at it!
Happy Veterans' Day to all you heroic Vets!! I thank you for your service to our Country! |

Posted - November 21 2007 : 12:32:06 AM I have read the many posts made to this board over the last five years. I really enjoy the interest in the LOTM and the 18th century. I finally went to the Smokeys and westen North Carolina. |

Posted - November 12 2007 : 07:55:53 AM Thanks for noticing!!! I guess that depression was more a reflection of my personal life than how I felt about the web site. Is it narcissistic to say that I love this web site???? It brings me steady joy! Just the financial aspect is hard -- less so because of many of you --- and there is the occasional A-H here on the board --- but I love tinkering with the site and taking on new additions like that of James Neel recently. Anyway, my personal life isn't really any better, I'm just beginning to get used to it now. |

Posted - November 11 2007 : 12:29:13 PM Hi there, Rich! There was a time when you sounded kinda depressed about this website and its future, but not anymore. It's good to hear you sounding proud and optimistic, as you should be! |
