Read Calwell's "Small Wars" Custer did evferything *right* that day according to WHAT HE KNEW AT THE TIME!
He used the right tactics -- the tactics failed him.
And he DID listen to his scouts -- they said "attack now" or lose them. He argued with them for some time, determined to hide out and attack at dawn. But when he was convinced they'd been discovered, he agreed "it shall be as you say."
I wish you say something NEW. So far all I have read from you is the same old same old myths and mismanaged information from a Hollywood Historian.

He didn't listen to his scouts,he underestimated his opponents. I wouldn't mind so much if it was just he who died, but it wasn't! Any vet who has ever had to take orders and suffer the consequences created by that type of officer knows what I am saying. The only ones who should be honored at Little Bighorn are the men who followed orders and went to their destruction. Mike Kraybill
