: : : In case any of you have missed the warnings, the "I Love You" virus appears to be a very real, very nasty bug! Do not open any email with "I Love You" in the subject line. Mark just got home & told me they were hit at the company he works for, and their entire email system is down, and no one knows how long it will take to fix the problems. It was opened by one person, went to their address book & forwarded ITSELF to everyone in that book, then went to each recipient's book, and so on. Mark received 4 separate emails with that in the subject line, but deleted them promptly. Then the whole system crashed. So I know for a fact that this one is real.
: : : Hope this saves someone in Mohicanland from grief!

: : You need to watch out for Pretty Park also. It's already been sent to me twice - don't open, just delete. It comes as a second e-mail from a party the way Happy 99 did.
: For the record people,
: An e-mail message cannot ever give you a virus. Only the attachment will. There is no problem in reading the message, but opening the attachment will activate the virus.

Terrible. Just terrible. They oughta be hanged by the neck until dead. A little Islamic justice perhaps - send out a virus intentionally, lose right hand, do it again...better get that head band with pointer ready pal....you will need it to peck away at your keyboard from now on.
On the other hand, if I could get some big brain to engineer a virus that depressed the libido, promoted wart growth, and caused you to forever walk only in silly ways a'la John Creese...well, I'd send that sucker to Doc Mary with a little I Love you fer sure.
