: : I am off to see Rita Collidge and Walela perform at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco this evening.  I love their music.  In case anyone on the Board has not listened to their first album, I highly recommend it.  They just came out with a new one called "Unbearable Love".  I haven't listened to all of it yet.  They will probably be performing most of the songs this evening.  I will let everyone know how it was after we get home.  

: : Also the video of the entertainment from the last San Francisco Native American Film Festival is almost ready for release.  I highly recommend getting it.  We were there and it was a fantastic evening of entertainment. The purchase of the video will help support the effort of the Native artists and the ongoing effort of the Film Festival.  The latest issue of ICE (Indian Cinema Entertainment) has all of the highlights from the festival in it.  I have listed their web site below. :  I know of Walela. I am on the Board of Directors for the Cherokee Cultural Society of Houston and we had a big Cherokee event a couple months ago. Chief Chad Smith was there and Walela was the entertainment. I know Chief Smith very well but had to work the weekend of the event so I didn`t get to meet Rita and Walela. Maybe next time.
