: : Sorry--I didn't mean to start a war. I was only being honest, but that has gotten me into trouble before, as well. I feel I must react to a couple of things:
: : First, I am who I say I am. I live in Kentucky, am a housewife with 3 small children, and an interest in history.
: : Secondly, I have no clue who "An even bigger cat" is...and I do not believe I know anyone who would answer in that manner.
: : Thirdly, I intend to continue reading the posts here, and if they click or not, so be it. I will remain "in the dark", and enjoy what I choose to enjoy. If the moment strikes me, I may or may not post again. Thank you, Rich, for enlightening me on the purpose of Mohicanland Message Board. It helped me understand somewhat. I like the site, in spite of this mess. Please accept my apology for upsetting you.

: Dear Suzanne,
: Your apology is much appreciated, and in fact, has a touch of deja vu about it. You're not the only one to have trouble figuring out the vagaries of Mohicanland. When I first found the site, I jumped in on one of the fun scenarios before I really knew what it was all about, promptly misunderstood one of the response posts and ended up apologizing for starting a war, too. But I hung in there, and Mohicanland has become one of the most fun and interesting places in the world for me.
: It takes a while to catch on to our zany side and all our "characters", but as Rich indicated, there are so many thiings to be had on this site that if the Mohicanland characters don't catch your fancy, you have your choice of history, books, movies, various social and political discussions and even some very worthwhile causes to support. Give your sense of humor a chance, and I'll bet that eventually, like most, you'll end up creating a "character" of your own and getting in on the fun. Lots of people, lots of interests, lots of variation here. Welcome to Mohicanland!

I can only add this to what Gayle & Rich have said: if you would enjoy more serious historical discussions on the Board, why not start a thread on any appropriate topic that interests you? Many visitors to the board would be happy to join in or ask questions. It's always nice to have VARIETY on the Board, and always a learning experience when historical discussions come up. Just because many of us are having fun in our imaginary Mohicanland doesn't mean we don't enjoy discussing history, literature, or this movie in a much more serious vein. Participation works wonders.
