Malcolm!!
I have just received the wonderful news that my Seamus is safe, and he and the others are soon to be at Carlisle!! I cannot express to you feeling in my heart and my whole being when I heard it! It was as if I had been stricken by lightning; I was stunned...and then I broke down and sobbed as I have never sobbed before. What joy! What happiness! Gloria was also greatly gladdened and relieved by the news that Timothy is alright, as well. Her spirit has been lifted from the depths of the terrible depression which I spoke to you about before. She is her old self once again. I can never thank Timothy, Deux Chemises, Many Flags, ThreeTales and Sign Talker for what they have done. I am told that Seamus is severly injured, but that will heal in time. I will see to that! That man will not leave my sight...ever again!
We are hastening to Carlisle, and should be there in a day's time. Dway Miller, the duck hunter, has promised us he will not stop anywhere else to hunt now that we have this wonderful news.
Oh, Malcolm! I cannot wait...!!! I knew my faith and my prayers would bring him back to me! You know, I have just noticed what a beautiful, warm, sunny day it is today. The spring flowers are blooming and their fragrances fill my nostrils with delicious odors, the birds are singing and are busily building their nests, and the wild geese have paired off to find nesting sites amongst the reeds. The whole landscape seems to have come alive, and is shedding the winter's drabbness, and SEAMUS IS COMING HOME!!
